History of the Faculty of Public Health

With a policy to develop educational management for the Department of Health Science, which earlier consisted of four faculties; Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Thammasat University therefore developed a plan to establish the Faculty of Public Health in order to produce well equipped public health personnel with knowledge and capacity of disease control and prevention as well as health promotion for public health and safety. Following the 8th Thammasat University Council Conference held on 29 August 2005, there was an approval on the agenda to establish the Faculty of Public Health as an independent institute under the direction of Thammasat University.
